Stewardship Reflection

Stewardship Freedom

“For you were called for freedom, brothers. But do not use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh; rather, serve one another through love.” (Galatians 5:13)

We like to celebrate the fact that we are free to “live the good life.” But Jesus calls us to a different kind of freedom. St. Paul remind us that Jesus sets us free and called us to stewardship so that we can serve one another, share our gifts and promote God’s work here on earth.

“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” (1 Peter 4:10)

*******************************

We know from the Bible that everything we have is a gift from God. We are stewards-managers of the many gifts God has given to us. As Christian stewards, we recognize that all that we are-all that we have-belongs to God, and we are accountable to Him for the use of all things. Therefore, we must live and give as Christians, generously sharing our God-given gifts of time, talent and treasure.

HERE you will find a list of our many parish ministries and activities. So many of you are using your gifts and sharing them with the larger community. This is what it means to be a CHURCH. This is what makes us a parish.

Please take the time to prayerfully reflect on how you have been gifted by God and how you may become a more effective disciple of the Lord by sharing the gifts given to you.

God bless!
