MISSION STATEMENT
In a pre-revolutionary war, multi-christian environment, St. Michael Church, Cedarville was incorporated in
1942 under the episcopal jurisdiction of the Diocese Of Camden, dedicated in the Catholic tradition through it's assigned pastors
and competent lay leaders for spreading the fullness of the faith by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the priestly worship
of Almighty God: "I will build my Church". (Mathew 16:16)
Prior to the 20th century it's original jurisdiction fell to the Catholic
Diocese of Trenton with the missionary foundation of St. Anthony Church in Port Norris in 1913, later embraced as one of St Michael's
several missions in a 400 square mile wooded, farming and bayside region.
Now in this 21st century, St. Michael Church having
consolidated as the newly formed Parish of the Holy Cross with the merging of the Catholic churches of Bridgeton and Rosenhayn,
continues it's same mission challenging the faithful in a more dedicated Stewardship of time, talent, and treasure for the building
up of God's Kingdom on earth to His greater honor and Glory until he comes again.
Prepared and presented by Fr William J
Bleiler, approved by the Catholic communities of Cedarville, Port Norris and Laurel Lake.
